Coastal Orthopedics, a full-service provider of comprehensive orthopedic surgery, sports medicine, spine care, pain management and physical therapy services, recently celebrated the opening of its two new facilities in West Bradenton and East Manatee.

The new 88,000-square-foot East Manatee facility located at 8000 State Road 64 opened on May 23 and serves as Coastal Orthopedics’ new headquarters, taking the place of the previous space at 5101 4th Avenue Circle East. The space will house clinical services, an ambulatory surgery center, physical therapy department, administrative offices and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), among other services.

“We are so proud of what we have created here,” said Paige LeMay, chief executive officer of Coastal Orthopedics. “Both facilities will allow our providers to serve orthopedic and pain management patients who live in the rapidly growing Manatee and Sarasota counties.”

The 34,000-square-foot West Bradenton facility located on 17th Avenue West, just north of Blake Medical Center in Bradenton, opened its doors on May 16. The new location is taking the place of the previous West Bradenton space located at 6015 Pointe West Boulevard, and will house physician office space, fluoroscopy suites, a physical therapy gymnasium and a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) suite, plus room for future expansion.

The surgery center currently located at 5101 4th Avenue Circle East will be moving to the East Manatee facility in the coming weeks, and patients will now have the option to recover in private recovery rooms that are integrated with advanced technology.

The contractor on both projects was BBL Medical Facilities. The architect was HCP Architects, and Kimley-Horn was the project engineer. Both buildings are designed in Sarasota modern style architecture.

A grand opening event was held on May 24 at Coastal Orthopedics’ East Manatee facility to commemorate both openings. The event attracted over 150 people, and attendees were offered self-guided tours prior to the ceremonial ribbon-cutting and photos. Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed drinks, hors d’oeuvres and the opportunity to speak with representatives from Coastal Orthopedics.

“Now we can use these buildings as a tool for what we do every day, which is take great care of our patients in a comfortable setting using the latest technology,” said Dr. Arthur Valadie. “We are thrilled to have these buildings for our staff to do what we do best.”
