Dr. Federico completed his undergraduate studies cum laude in biology at the University of Florida before earning his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Florida College of Medicine.
He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the prestigious Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, where his clinical excellence and leadership led to his selection as Administrative Chief Resident. After residency, Dr. Federico completed a fellowship in adult and pediatric spine surgery at the world-renowned Rothman Orthopedic Institute at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. During his fellowship, he trained under global pioneers in cervical disc replacement, complex spinal fusion, and augmented-reality surgical navigation.
Dedicated to progressing the field of spine surgery, Dr. Federico has authored over 60 scientific papers and abstracts. His research focuses on improving surgical safety, improving patient-reported outcomes, and reducing healthcare costs in outpatient surgical facilities.
