I met Dr.Lamar through a referral from my doctor Dr.Tomlinson. Being so comfortable with the doctor-patient relationship I had with Dr. Tomlinson in New York I was slightly hesitant to start with a new doctor after meeting Dr.Lamar in Sarasota Florida I soon learned that I can trust him as I did Dr. Tomlinson in New York. Dr. Lamar listen to my concerns about my shoulder issues and work diligently with me about taking care of my shoulders and never once tried to push the issue of surgery on me, his words were “we will treat this as best we can and when you think you are ready then we will talk about the next step”, his care and concerns put me at ease And I was able to trust him completely. Well surgery was finally the answer so I went in for rotator cuff repair and after the doctor explored the shoulder region of my right shoulder it was found that there was no rotator cuff injury but extensive arthritis so Dr.Lamar went to Plan B and cleaned the entire shoulder area out relieving me of the pain and discomfort. I want to thank Coastal Orthopedics Dr.Lamar Doctor Jason Lee and their medical staff as well as the Coastal Orthopedics surgical center for their care and diligence. I would recommend them highly to anyone who is in need of an orthopedic!

Thank you Dr. Lamar, Courtney, Harmony & Jason & Nurses & staff!  It’s been a long 8 months for me, of not being active during this injury, I could not do my 3 mile walks or play pickleball with 2 torn meniscus, and Bursitis I’ve completed my PT & was given the ok to start easing into my walks & pickleball – so happy to hear that for sure Thank You Again Dr. Lamar and your great staff – it was a pleasure meeting you all, Please stay well and Healthy during this crazy virus . Dr. Lamar and his team are simply fantastic. Went in for a right knee quadricep rupture surgery, a really difficult surgery, and the team put me back to together. A great team and I highly recommend Dr. Lamar.

Had a knee replacement 6 1/2 years ago and a shoulder replacement 5 years ago. Went for a checkup today and Dr.Lamar was so caring and wonderful as he was back when I needed him so badly. As far as I am concerned he is the best ortho doctor out there.

I really had a great experience with Coastal Orthopedics. From Dr. Lamar and the staff at that location to the Imaging center. Everyone is kind and they always ensure you have a follow-up appointment and all necessary information before you leave. I actually had an amazing experience at the imaging center! Dr. Bundschu and his staff made me feel so comfortable during a procedure that I was really nervous about. One specific person stood out, I think her name was Amelia. She really made the difference between full-on panic mode and being somewhat relaxed. I highly recommend the caring and competent team at Coastal Orthopedics.

After 3 months of agonizing pain, I finally made an appointment with Dr. Lamar to see my knee. My brother always told me about him so I tried him. His nice and wonderful P.A. Courtney had my knee diagnosed 5 minutes after x-ray and explained everything in detail. Dr. Lamar came in a few minutes later and double-checked my knee and he told me his game plan on fixing me up that day. Courtney came back in the room and did her magic on my knee and 20 minutes later almost all my swelling and knee pain was gone. I suffered so long before this that I had to do a review to let people know. I will never, ever see another Dr for my knee again. Thank you and God Bless everyone there and thank you for treating us with so much professionalism and respect. I am truly GRATEFUL.

I received the best service from Dr. Daniel Lamar and all of his associates at Coastal Orthopedic. Not only was I seen quickly but everything went smoothly. This total process for my total knee surgery and PT was 7 weeks. Billing was easy, appointments were set in place from the beginning. Dr. Lamar did a fantastic job on my knee and the staples he put in was done so well to alleviate any huge scaring. The physical therapy department is very professional and caring. The know the fine line of pushing you to make the progress or letting off because it’s over you limit. I am so glad they pushed me over my limit every time I had PT.A big thank you to Jocelyn, her assistant and to Justin for getting me back to living a normal life.

Being a snowbird I was a bit concerned but everyone was very nice and things ran on time. Dr. Lamar was factual and took the time to explain the issues with my knee and spell out my options!

Dr. Lamar was quick to diagnose my knee problem. He was aware that certain tests were not going to change the treatment plan. He didn’t force unnecessary testing, time or expenses. He came up with a plan of care in a clear, concise and logical manner. He took into consideration my specific circumstances including age, past medical history and activity level including my goal to continue running. His staff was informative, efficient and friendly. The PA gave a painless injection. Very good experience!!

I have been going to Coastal Orthopedics for the last 12 years.. I have had two knee replacements By Dr. LaMar. My last one was done four months ago and I couldn’t ask for a better result! People look at my knee and ask where the scar is? Look no further when you need to find an orthopedic surgeon… He is the one!
