About Dr. Ottaviani
Dr. Laura Ottaviani is a board certified physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist who focuses in the restoration of patient function. Having obtained her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Nova Southeastern University, Dr. Ottaviani completed her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Missouri, followed by a fellowship in musculoskeletal medicine at the university of Missouri. She has held three academic positions including the University of Missouri, University of Alabama in Birmingham and currently at the University of South Florida. Dr. Ottaviani utilizes a range of non-surgical means to help improve function and decrease pain including muscle and joint injections, medications, bracing, understanding balance deficits and physical therapy referrals. She also has specialty training in the use of electrodiagnosis to define nerve injury. Dr. Ottaviani places an emphasis on education and enjoys teaching, realizing that understanding your medical condition is as important as deciding how to manage it.
Dr. Ottaviani enjoys spending time with her husband and her three children.
