Dr. Terranova is a board-certified physician specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) with advanced training in interventional spine and sports medicine. She brings a comprehensive, non-surgical approach to diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal and spine-related conditions, helping patients return to function, activity, and quality of life.

Dr. Terranova has extensive experience managing neck, back, and joint pain, sports injuries, and nerve-related conditions using a combination of advanced diagnostics and minimally invasive procedures. Her clinical expertise includes ultrasound-guided and fluoroscopic injections, EMG/NCS testing, regenerative therapies such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP), and radiofrequency ablation, among other evidence-based treatments.

She completed an accredited Interventional Spine and Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, following her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Mount Sinai, where she also served as Chief Resident. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and holds a master’s degree in Biomedical Science.
Dr. Terranova has authored peer-reviewed research, book chapters, and national presentations on musculoskeletal pain, spine conditions, concussion management, and rehabilitation outcomes. She is a frequent lecturer for medical professionals and physical therapy groups and has been recognized as a Top Doctor by Bergen Magazine multiple years in a row.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Terranova has a strong background in sports medicine coverage, serving as a team physician for high school athletics, endurance events, boxing, and the Special Olympics. A former Division I varsity athlete at Northwestern University, she understands firsthand the importance of performance, injury prevention, and safe return to sport.

Dr. Terranova is passionate about patient education and believes in collaborative care, working closely with orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, and other specialists to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s goals.
Outside of medicine, she enjoys running, tennis, cooking, singing, and staying active in the athletic community.
