About Dr. Simmons
Dr. Simmons is a board certified and fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand and wrist surgery. She is especially interested in traumatic, acute and chronic injuries of the hand and wrist.
Dr. Simmons received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Harvard University and worked under the Massachusetts Arthritis Foundation in the Orthopedic gene therapy lab for the Harvard Center for Molecular Orthopaedics. Dr. Simmons also completed an internship in general surgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. She was a collegiate and world class athlete, competing on the worlds stage with the USA National Rowing Team.
She is currently the sports medicine physician for IMG Academy and serves on Nathan Benderson Park Sports Medicine Team.
Dr. Simmons enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children. She continues to enjoy outdoor activities and exercise such as swimming, running, and yoga.
