Dr. Terranova is a board-certified physician specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation, with advanced training in interventional spine and sports medicine. She brings a comprehensive, non-surgical approach to diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal and spine-related conditions, helping patients return to function, activity and quality of life.
She has extensive experience treating neck, back and joint pain, sports injuries and nerve-related conditions through advanced diagnostics and minimally invasive procedures. Dr. Terranova’s clinical expertise includes ultrasound-guided and fluoroscopic injections, EMG/NCS testing, regenerative therapies such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and radiofrequency ablation, among other evidence-based treatments.
She completed an accredited interventional spine and sports medicine fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, following her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Mount Sinai, where she also served as chief resident. She earned her doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and holds a master’s degree in biomedical science.
In addition to her schooling, Dr. Terranova has authored peer-reviewed research, book chapters and national presentations on musculoskeletal pain, spine conditions, concussion management and rehabilitation outcomes. She is also a frequent lecturer for medical professionals and physical therapy groups and has been recognized as a Top Doctor by Bergen Magazine for multiple years in a row.
