Coastal Orthopedics is proud to welcome Richard N. Puzzitiello, M.D., to its highly skilled staff of orthopedic specialists.
Dr. Puzzitiello specializes in Sports Medicine and provides surgical treatment for the shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee. He has a distinct passion for joint preservation procedures, including advanced cartilage restoration and hip arthroscopy, for treating conditions such as labral tears and femoroacetabular impingement (FAI). Dr. Puzzitiello utilizes cutting-edge robotic and virtual navigation technologies for shoulder and knee procedures, offering precision, accuracy, and improved outcomes.
Dr. Puzzitiello completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts. He then pursued a fellowship in sports medicine surgery at the University of Utah. A decorated researcher, Dr. Puzzitiello has authored more than 100 scientific publications in the field of orthopedics.
In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr. Puzzitiello serves as a team physician for the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Team. His work with elite athletes reflects a commitment to delivering world-class care for every patient, at every level of activity.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Puzzitiello enjoys skiing, exercising, and spending time with his wife and children.
